Finding the Public URL:
Formal learning, with progress tracking, due dates, and completion certificates, is important, but sometimes it can be useful to publish an eLearning course in an informal setting, such as on a website or social media. While this may lose the tracking and reporting benefits of formal learning, it makes it very easy for any casual user to find and access your training course.

In BrainStation, you have the ability to create custom courses and then share them externally via a Public URL.

Finding the Public URL:

  • Enter BrainStation.
  • Access the Team Dashboard.
  • Select CourseBuilder from the dashboard menu.

  • From here, you will see all the custom courses created within this Team.
  • All custom courses have a Public URL link visible on this page.

Please Note:

Linking this URL to any image or text creates a hyperlink that opens the course in a separate browser window when clicked. Through this link, all course modules work as expected, so you can include videos, documents, HTML text, and questions in the custom courses without worry. Since the Public URL does not track any user information, it will not generate reports or appear in any reports within BrainStation.

  • Below is an image of what a custom course looks like when launched from the Public URL.
